Terms of Service
Last updated: 29 September 2026
These terms apply when you subscribe to Startap (ABN 51 419 203 064).
1. The service
Depending on your plan, we supply an NFC review card linked to your Google review page (Tap), monthly reports and new-review alerts (Track), and professional responses to your Google reviews (Manage). Plan inclusions are listed on our pricing page.
2. Setup and delivery
We aim to set up your card within 1–2 business days of receiving your Google review link and deliver it within 3–5 business days in metropolitan Melbourne.
3. Payment
Plans are billed monthly in advance in AUD (GST does not apply as we are not registered for GST) and renew automatically until cancelled. If a payment fails, we'll let you know and may pause your service until it's resolved.
4. Pricing
Founding member prices are locked in while your subscription stays active. For other customers, we'll give at least 30 days' notice of any price change.
5. Cancellation
There are no lock-in contracts. You can cancel anytime by emailing charlie@startap.com.au. Your service continues until the end of your current billing month, then your card stops linking to your review page. You're welcome to keep the card. We don't give partial-month refunds, except where required by law.
6. Lost or damaged cards
Replacement cards are free.
7. Google Business Profile access (Track and Manage)
You grant us manager access to your Google Business Profile to provide the service. You can remove our access at any time. For Manage, we aim to respond to new reviews within 48 hours. We'll check with you before responding to any review we consider sensitive.
8. Honest reviews
Startap invites every customer equally to leave a genuine review. You agree to do the same: not to ask only satisfied customers, offer rewards for reviews, or post reviews yourself. We may suspend the service if it is used in breach of Google's review policies.
9. No guarantees about Google
We can't guarantee a particular number of reviews, star rating or search ranking. Google controls its platform, and we're not responsible for Google's decisions, such as removing reviews or suspending profiles.
10. Your consumer rights
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies those rights.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to resupplying the service or refunding the fees you paid for the affected month.
12. Ending the service
We may end your service with 30 days' notice, or immediately if you seriously breach these terms. If we end it without cause, we'll refund any unused prepaid period.
13. Changes to these terms
We'll give at least 30 days' notice of material changes by email.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
